Commercial Partnerships Intern

We are looking for an intern for a two-month placement, with an immediate start. Our office is based in North London, but the role will be performed remotely until we are able to return to our office. You will need to have reliable internet access and an appropriate environment in which to perform a full-time job. A laptop will be provided for the duration of your employment. You will be required to join calls and video conferences on a daily basis. Don’t worry – it doesn’t have to be completely quiet – we understand people are working from home. We offer flexible working hours and will discuss preferred working patterns with the successful candidate. Flexible working, or part time hours (with pro-rated salary), to fit around your studies can be discussed.

 

This is a great opportunity for someone with good research and analytical skills, and an interest in the finance sector and commercial strategy. The role is to support the Partnerships Director in identifying and onboarding new data providers (partners), and managing partner relationships. Our partners are banks, credit card issuers and fintechs. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, ambitious environment, with the ability to learn from experts in technology, commercial strategy and the investment market.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work closely with the Partnerships Director to deliver against the data acquisition strategy

  • Research target geographies, demonstrating good understanding of finance sector and local economies, as well as Fable client needs. Present findings and recommend data sourcing opportunities.

  • Manage lead generation through research and collaboration, including identification of key contacts in each market

  • Maintain CRM for data partners, ensuring all entries are up to date and generating reports

  • Work closely with the technology and product teams to efficiently manage the acquisition pipeline and onboard data

  • Identify and implement improvements in team processes

  • Support excellent relationship management, for both contracted and prospective partners

  • Support creation of partner collateral and presentations, using Excel, Word, PowerPoint and online tools

  • Join calls and meetings, and manage stakeholder diaries

What you will need to be:

 

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

  • Abie to work with confidential information and commercially sensitive projects

  • Interested in the finance sector, and developing commercial skill set

  • Keen to work for an agile, dynamic and entrepreneurial business

  • Excellent academic record. In your second year of studies or further (Business, finance, economics, science courses preferable), or recent graduate.

 

Skills / Knowledge:

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Numerical, financial, research and analytical skills

  • Good knowledge of finance sector, in UK and globally

  • I.T. skills utilising Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • Adept to learning and being able to effectively use information systems (HubSpot and others)

  • Ability to build credible relationships with colleagues

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities within tight timeframes

  • Fluent in English. Additional language (French, German, Spanish, Japanese) an advantage, but not essential.
