Senior Marketing Manager

Role Purpose

This is a great opportunity for an experienced marketing manager with great stakeholder management skills, to play a pivotal role in creating and executing the marketing plan for our business. This is a broad role with the potential to make a big impact on our success, and it requires a hands-on marketing professional. 

You will be working at all levels of the business, with a large input to the marketing strategy and creative vision, while taking the lead on marketing execution. You will be required to identify marketing needs and opportunities, and deliver autonomously. While there are opportunities for external support, the successful candidate will get involved in the full cycle of content creation, supporting a range of marketing needs across the team. 

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, ambitious environment, alongside experts in technology, commercial strategy, and the investment market. Our clients include the global investment funds and corporates. Our data partners include a range of banks, credit card issuers and payments companies.

Our office is in London (Camden), but the role will be performed remotely until we are able to return to our office. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with the Partnerships Director and Senior Management Team to create a marketing and brand strategy for the business 

  • Proactively create and own the execution of the strategy, including website, digital & social media, PR & media relations, events, sales tools, and all marketing collateral. 

  • Implement consistent messaging, tone of voice and design across the business 

  • Work closely with the Sales/Business Development Directors for the creation and execution of their go-to-market plans, including advising on marketing strategies, lead generation and assisting with campaign management across multiple channels. Support the creation of pitch decks, product demos, case studies and point of sale materials. 

  • Create and manage content strategy 

  • Identify requirements for external marketing support, engage and manage external resources as required 

  • Monitoring and reporting marketing metrics and effectiveness of marketing campaigns 

  • Identify and build key external relationships/partnerships, inc ownership of channel relationships 

  • Market research studies and competitor analysis 

  • Keep up to date on sector trends to drive topics for client comms and whitepaper content 

  • Support creation of content and presentations, using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and publishing software 

  • Support internal comms activities, ensuring consistency of branding 

  • Identify and implement improvements in team processes 

  • Ensure all marketing activities are GDPR compliant 

What you will need to be: 

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic 

  • Experienced with creating and leading a marketing plan 

  • Confident and articulate communicator, able to influence a range of senior stakeholders 

  • Ready to create something new 

  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong sense of urgency and attention to detail 

  • Keen to work for an agile, dynamic and entrepreneurial business 

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) 

Skills / Knowledge: 

  • Minimum of six years’ experience in similar B2B marketing role(s) 

  • Proven record of generating leads and driving sales through compelling marketing programs 

  • Marketing qualifications preferable 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Experience in finance sector (UK and globally) or data services an advantage 

  • Experience with scaling start-ups an advantage 

  • High proficiency with CRM including HubSpot 

  • I.T. skills utilising Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, publishing software, CRM 

  • Strong interpersonal skills 

  • Designs skills would be an advantage 

  • Fluent in English
