Luke is an experienced builder of teams, products, and market making businesses. In his 20s, he founded two investor research companies, building out global research platforms in partnership with teams that now lead and develop those businesses beyond his imagination.

Some of the institutions that have nurtured and constrained Luke in equal measure include the London School of Economics, policy think tank DEMOS, and the Goldman Sachs SME alumni scheme. At Fable, Luke’s role is to challenge – challenge the market, the team, and our data.

“Away from Fable, I am an adviser to Government departments and also a school governor. I am a terrible but enthusiastic and passionate piano player, and I love spending holidays surfing with my children”.  

Suraj graduated with a BA in Mathematics and Computer Science from Oriel College, Oxford. Suraj has an extensive career in finance with a primary focus on corporate and government debt markets. He started his career as a structured credit trader for KBC Financial Products before becoming a portfolio manager at Observatory Capital and then CQS, where he set up the non-Asian emerging markets credit business.

Suraj runs the data partnerships division as well as the Mission and Economics department at Fable. The Data partnerships division is responsible for sourcing and maintaining all of the banking data that powers Fable. The Mission and Economics team ensures that the data gets into the hands of decision-makers and academia. They also work on the development of new economic indicators using Fable’s latest data.

“I enjoy traveling with my family, especially in the South West of France, although I am a very proud Londoner at heart. I have a healthy appetite for good food and ensure that I maintain my daily routine which involves functional fitness to stay on top of life.  I am also a big fan of mythology from all over the world.”

Sai has over 13 years of experience working on the Buy Side in roles that have ranged from quantitative model development, and risk management to trading and investment analysis. Over the past decade, he developed proprietary trading strategies and algorithms to identify and manage over a billion dollars in assets for a multi strategy credit fund, seeded by Brummer and Partners. Prior to this, Sai used his deep understanding of technology and software development to build tools and systems to scale businesses.

At Fable, Sai is the Chief Research & Development Officer, working with his team to identify and test concepts in the areas of products, analytics, macro and micro research, and solutions to customer use cases. All of which help to increase the value of Fable’s data sets to its clients. As a collaborative partner for all the other Fable teams, Sai’s team offers valuable services, solutions and insights that help enable and empower the rest of Fable to meet their goals.

“Outside of work I enjoy mentoring young entrepreneurs, and championing education for the under privileged through my relationships with a few grass root organizations. My passion for food often leads me to the wonderful selection of culinary delights that London has to offer. And although I’m no longer a professional trade, I still love to build and test unconventional proprietary algorithms in my spare time.”

Felicity’s formative years were spent in banking, working first for Barclays, and Rothschild where she was involved in the creation of the group strategy team. This lit a strategic fire and she became a commercial strategist creating new businesses for large corporates to bring growth beyond core revenue. Prior to Fable, Felicity set up and ran the UK market for a smart building SaaS startup.

As Chief Strategy Officer at Fable, Felicity combines her past financial services sector experience along with her strategy, business design and growth expertise. She runs the Strategy & Planning division, which houses Product, PMO, Planning and Strategy – defining Fable’s ambitions and enabling team collaboration and shared learnings.

“Beyond work I, like many Londoners, spend my time seeking the best places to eat and drink in the city, or travelling abroad to do the same! I’m an avid reader, primarily of speculative fiction, and secretly have a few ideas for my own books. I also spent a year sailing the Seven Seas, despite a fear of open water…”

Kate overseas our Legal and Compliance Team. She is an experienced legal and compliance leader and has worked across the commercial, data & information, tech, professional services and regulatory sectors, over the last 20 years, both in-house and in global private practices, including a number of years spent as Director of Legal Services and Data Protection Officer in a government-sponsored regulator.

With over 16 years of expertise in accounting, strategic finance and sales, Stephanie Goulden serves as the Finance Director at Fable Data.  After graduating in Economics, she qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG followed by commercial finance and business development roles at Experian and Aimia. Over the past decade, she has specialized in the consumer data and loyalty industry, contributing to her comprehensive understanding of the field.

Since her start at Fable Data in August 2019, Stephanie has played a crucial role in elevating the company to become Europe’s top provider of consumer transaction data. She initially led the development of the sales and partnerships departments, then assumed leadership of the finance department. Her approach to finance is characterized by a commitment to making the discipline more accessible and engaging for all employees, fostering a culture where financial and non-financial staff work together towards informed strategic decisions.

Outside of work I love chasing around my two children, taking them swimming, and exploring the world of baking. These moments provide me with a cherished break from my career and embody the importance of balance between professional success and personal happiness.
